Storyteller
The stock Storyteller alternator can't keep up with off‑grid demands. It has a low charge rate and struggles under heavy loads. The RoamRig upgrade uses an Arco 48V alternator and a Zeus regulator to deliver more power at lower RPMs. It shortens charging time, reduces heat, and gives you control from your phone. Nomadlink Upfitters is the only certified installer aside from RoamRig. Reach out to us to discuss an install.

Revel
The stock Revel alternator can’t keep up with off‑grid demands. The Mercedes alternator only powers the van’s systems and charges the chassis battery. It charges the camper batteries through a DC‑DC charger that delivers limited power. Owners have reported belt wear and failures; a 2021 recall warned that the auxiliary alternator belt could disengage and even cause the serpentine belt to fall off, which could cut power steering. We have current solutions available and a new, updated kit is coming soon. Get in touch to discuss options for your Revel.
