Which battery option makes the most sense?

The best upgrade depends on what problem you are trying to solve.

If you mainly want more general battery life, a third Lithionics battery or a two-battery Epoch conversion may be enough. If you are trying to run the A/C overnight, use induction cooking, power Starlink, charge e-bikes, or camp for multiple days without shore power, a larger Epoch setup may be worth considering.

If your biggest frustration is slow charging while driving, the battery bank is only one piece of the puzzle. A larger battery bank needs a practical way to recharge, which is where alternator and regulator upgrades become important.

Do you need an inverter upgrade?

Sometimes, yes.

An inverter upgrade can make sense when you want stronger AC outlet power or better support for higher-draw appliances. However, an inverter upgrade by itself does not create more stored energy. The battery bank stores the energy; the inverter converts DC battery power into AC power for household-style outlets and appliances.

That is why we look at the inverter as part of a complete system. Battery capacity, wiring, fusing, charging sources, and the loads you want to run all need to work together.

ARCO Zeus setup

The ARCO Zeus setup gives the customer more visibility and control over alternator charging. This can be especially helpful for owners who travel at high elevation, climb steep grades, or want the ability to reduce alternator load when they need more engine power.

With Zeus, alternator charging can be limited or turned off in situations where full engine performance is more important, such as merging into traffic, climbing hills, or driving in demanding mountain conditions.
