Take Advantage of the Solar Tax Credit Before It’s Gone

Now is the Time to Upgrade to a RoamRig Power System in Your Revel.

If you’ve been on the fence about upgrading the power system in your Revel, this might be the sign you’ve been waiting for. 2025 is likely the last year you'll be able to claim a federal solar tax credit for installing a lithium-based power system like RoamRig. That means you could save thousands by acting now.

Why RoamRig?

RoamRig is the industry gold standard when it comes to power upgrades for your Revel. Designed specifically for van-lifers who demand performance, efficiency, and reliability, this system delivers:

  • Lithium Power That Lasts: No more worrying about running out of juice while boondocking.

  • Faster Charging: Whether you're driving or parked, you can top off quicker and more efficiently.

  • Real-Time Monitoring: With the Victron app, you can keep tabs on your entire system right from your phone.

  • Clean Installs: Thoughtful layouts and seamless integration designed with your van in mind.

We’re the only mobile-certified installer for RoamRig upgrades, and we specialize in Revel-specific installs. From battery swaps to full system overhauls, we’ve got you covered in both our Las Vegas and Portland shops.

The Solar Rebate: What You Need to Know

The federal solar tax credit (also known as the Investment Tax Credit or ITC) allows you to deduct a percentage of your system costs from your federal taxes. In 2024, that credit is still 30%, but it’s expected to begin phasing out after this year unless Congress extends it.

Here’s how that works in real life:

  • If your full RoamRig upgrade costs $18,000, the 30% tax credit could mean $5,400 back when you file your taxes.

But timing matters. To claim the credit, your system must be purchased and installed in the same calendar year. If you're thinking of upgrading especially if you want it done before colder weather hits now is the time to get on our calendar.

Can You Really Use the Solar Tax Credit for a Van?

Yes. As long as your van is classified as a second home or has a bed, sink, and cooking area (most Revels qualify), your solar upgrade including lithium batteries, solar panels, inverters, charge controllers, and even labor can all count toward the tax credit.

We’re not tax professionals, so we always recommend consulting with your CPA to make sure you qualify. But many of our customers have successfully used the credit for their RoamRig install in the past.

Ready to Upgrade?

We’re booking out a few weeks in advance, especially for Portland installs. If you’ve been dreaming of longer off-grid stays, quieter camping, or just ditching your generator for good, let’s get you on the schedule.
